This morning when my brother came home, he surprised me with a newspaper clipping! See for yourself! Thanks Katrina for doing the story!

Following the recent death of the beloved Gordon B. Hinckley, the late President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, LDS musician Addison Kirk, Weston, made the decision to dedicate his extraordinary musical talents through a special album in honor of the late leader.
Kirk, 19 years old, had already agreed to dedicate the next two years of his life in church service as a full-time missionary, and with barely a month left before his departure to the Kentucky Louisville Mission on May 7, he jumped into action.
The son of Stephen and Jill Kirk calls it his” quest,” and has set aside 21 days in which to bring about his masterpiece.
Starting on April 7, the day after the LDS General Conference, Kirk began to bring together not just a stunning musical performance, but family, friends, and even strangers, in memory of the prophet.
Through his website, http://www.Hinckley21.com, participants (joining is free) will decide on the outcome of the album through polls, comments and contests. Namely, submitters will be involved in deciding which songs will be included in the album and the CD’s cover art.
“I just wanted to do something that everyone could be a part of,” Kirk said.
“Obviously this is a big project, and I can’t do it alone. Allowing the users to contribute helps the album become theirs and gives them a sense of ownership in the project. It helps them show their love and remembrance of President Hinckley.
“He was our prophet, and we want to do one more thing to remember
him,” said Kirk.
As a result of his open-armed efforts, the news of the project has” spread like wildfire. Friends are telling friends, and it just keeps growing!”
Kirk, who has a passion for music, graduated from a private academy at the age of 17.

We are so proud of you Addison!! Keep up the good work.
Wow! Someone wrote an article about the project! Boy this thing is bigger than I thought! I bet it took a collaborated effort to get this published! What newspaper was this in? I wonder if the writer is using an alias or not. I bet it’s really one of those inner city journalism gigs, trying to sound local. If it is, I bet you’ll be getting even more media soon! Boy! This is exciting!
