Reflections on General Conference

General Conference was amazing! I was able to watch every session, and feel the transition to President Monson happen almost seamlessly. It was fun to watch as he made us all laugh in the sunday evening Priesthood Session.

By accepting and celebrating our new Prophet, President Monson, we are celebrating the legacy that president Hinckley left for us. As Russell M. Nelson commented, since President Hinckley’s death, the general mood has shifted “from grief to Gratitude”. And Joseph B. Wirthlin said ”We are all better because of his influence.” How true that is.

Dr. Kimber commented on a conference a few times ago, when he said “It was interesting that this is one of the first times since the Church began televising conference that the emotions were allowed to show”. This, I think was one of those times also.
